Description:
The Kamstrup OMNICON data concentrator (type 6883) is the collector for OMNIPOWER electricity meters in the OMNIA radio-mesh system. It communicates with meters at 434.05 MHz (EU, 50 mW), typically serving 600 and up to 900 metering points, and forwards data to the head-end over Ethernet or an optional 2G/4G LTE Cat-4 modem. The Linux-based unit provides AES-256 end-to-end encryption, VPN, tamper detection and three days of local buffering in indoor (IP20) or outdoor (IP54) housings.
