Description:
The Kamstrup GSM8i is a plug-in cellular modem module for OMNIPOWER (and earlier 162/282/382 and 351) electricity meters, giving direct point-to-point reading over the GSM/GPRS network using DLMS/COSEM or KMP over UDP. It is powered from the meter, installs plug-and-play with LED signal-strength indication, has an internal antenna with external-antenna connector, and includes an isolated status/pulse input. A 3G variant (type 6817) is referenced in the RS-485 module datasheet.
