⚠ How you read this smoke detector
This smoke detector has wireless M-Bus built in – no calculator or extra module is needed for it to transmit. What you do need is something to receive that radio signal:
Remote / AMI reading: an Engelmann ComStar wireless M-Bus gateway, which forwards readings over LTE-M. One gateway collects many devices on a site, so you do not need one per meter – order it separately once per building.
Walk-by reading: a wireless M-Bus USB stick or Bluetooth receiver. Ask us for a quote.
If you already have a ComStar or a walk-by receiver on site, this smoke detector is all you need.
 
Description:
The Engelmann Smoke Detector C1 is a remotely inspectable type C smoke alarm with integrated 868 MHz wireless M-Bus radio. Environment and smoke-inlet monitoring allow the annual inspection to be performed remotely via walk-by or an AMR gateway, saving site visits in apartment blocks and rental portfolios. Sold in the manufacturer pack of 20 detectors, each with an individual encryption key.
